A beautiful path snaked along the edge of the gorge towards Devil's Castle, which commanded the rocky bluff sticking out of the centre of the gorge. I'd have to say that this was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, partly because there were no signs to get here! In fact, I can't find any historical information on this castle. It is most likely a Georgian Castle (Georgia's border is right behind this castle or from the Urartian Kingdom, from the 6th Century BC. Anyway, it was such a romantic sight for a lonely castle. At the bottom for the gorge was a cascading river. In either direction, you could look all the way down the gorge to snow capped mountains in the distance. And I was the only person around!
